Zack Snyderin Justice League it went from a film to a years old Internet campaign, to a miniseries and now, back to a film again. In other words, according to the filmmaker himself, who revealed some new details of his long-awaited “Snyder Cut” by Justice League, which will arrive at HBO Max this year.
The other day, another update from Vero by Zack Snyder, who used the social media platform (of which he still appears to be the only high-profile user) to reveal what the currently titled Zack Snyder’s Justice League will no longer be released as a miniseries. Instead, it will be released as a “one-shot” film, as he responded to a fan who asked if the project is a series or film (via The Playlist).

This is a major change of plans for Snyder and HBO Max, the last of which has not confirmed the filmmaker’s comment. Snyder himself initially called it a series, and Warner Bros. and HBO Max have been doing strong marketing Zack Snyder’s Justice League as a four- or five-part miniseries, with the hope that the project will attract more subscribers to WarnerMedia’s streaming platform.
Considering Snyder’s recent comments on a theatrical release of the project and a censored edition, his new confirmation that his version Justice League will be a movie may not be a complete surprise. He even referred to it as a “film” before, saying, “Here is some information that no one knows: the film is insane and so epic and is probably rated R – this is something that I think will happen, that it will be an R-rated version, for sure. We haven’t heard from the MPAA, but that’s my intuition. ”
Snyder also recently said that his “ideal version” of Justice League “It’s the black and white IMAX version of the film”, an idea that HBO Max seemed to like with the launch of a black and white trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. It should be noted that none of these new elements have been confirmed, nor very likely, and with the pandemic situation as it is, it is difficult to imagine Snyder receiving the theatrical release he wants. How about all of this being a movie instead of a series right now? Well, we’ll have to see what HBO Max has to say in the coming weeks.
Inside Zack Snyder’s Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to address this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash – it may already be too late to save the planet from an attack of catastrophic proportions.
