Ryan Reynolds posted a comedy throwback video to mark Betty White’s 99th birthday yesterday (January 17).
The duo worked together on the 2009 film The proposal, White playing the grandmother of Reynolds’ character Andrew Paxton.
Sharing a joke clip shot on the movie set with White and co-star Sandra Bullock, Reynolds wrote in his Instagram Stories: “We did this 12 years ago. Betty turns 99 today, but she is [100 per cent] the funniest person on the planet. “
In the clip, which was shared in full on YouTube, Reynolds and Bullock are preparing to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the movie when White appears on the set, Reynolds saying that White “hates” him.
While Bullock defends his older co-star, White then calls Renolds “Bryan” and mistakes him for his assistant.
After she calls him “donkey”, Reynolds loses his temper and tells her: “You look like a lovely sweet old lady on the outside, but inside, you’re like a boiling demon … why don’t you suck a dick hot? “
White then runs over to Bullock, pretending to be offended while she discreetly shows Reynolds his finger, before Bullock confronts him and puts him in his place, calling White a “bloody national treasure”.
In real life, White and Reynolds seem to have a close friendship, the first giving Dead Pool an enthusiastic review when it launched in 2016.
Calling it “the best photo of the year”, White also said that Reynolds was “pretty fucking in his red suit”.
White celebrated his birthday yesterday on Twitter, sharing a clip from his unpublished series Pets set.
Do you believe that ?! It’s my 99th birthday, which means I can stay up as long as I want without asking. I am also very pleased to inform you about the relaunch of my lost series after fifty years! I am very proud of the “Pet Set”. I hope everyone is doing well and doing well. pic.twitter.com/uyn1IEXUqb
