Chad Henne was forced into the playoff game of the division round for the Kansas City Chiefs when Patrick Mahomes suffered a head injury and left the game.
Henne, the 11-year-old veteran quarterback who was making his first appearance in a career playoff game, was mocked on social media when he threw a bad interception to Cleveland Browns defender Karl Joseph in the fourth period. But he became the hero on the Chiefs’ next trip.

“In addition to LinkedIn, I don’t think #HenneGivenSunday or #HenneThingIsPossible will appear on LinkedIn,” said Henne. “But, no, it’s great for him to have confidence, just like I said before, once I got into that huddle, everyone trusted me. They were pushing me, they supported me and this is a great team. Great opportunity to go there and play with this team and win. “
Henne has been in the NFL since the 2008 season.
The Miami Dolphins summoned him in the second round with general choice No. 57. He was the fourth defender after Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco and Brian Brohm.
