Prince William hopes that his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, being vaccinated against the coronavirus, will help to reduce uncertainty about the vaccine among the British people.
A spokesman for Buckingham Palace confirmed earlier this month that the queen, 94, and her husband, Prince Philip, 99, received a vaccine in an effort not only to inoculate the pair from contracting COVID-19, but “to avoid inaccuracies and more speculation “too.
The second in line to the throne spoke about his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, during a video call with the National Health Service team and volunteers that was released late Saturday. Doctors told William that some members of the public are reluctant to obtain any of the coronavirus vaccines authorized by regulators.
“My grandparents got the vaccine and I’m very proud of them for doing that, ” said William.” It is very important that everyone gets the vaccine when asked.

The disclosure of members of the royal family receiving the vaccine aimed to end speculation on the subject and increase confidence in vaccines, as the NHS seeks to give the first dose of the vaccine to everyone over 70 by mid-February.
As in the United States, British authorities have made vaccinating the elderly their first priority because they are at the greatest risk of dying from COVID-19.
The queen has been a symbol of hope for the British since the pandemic broke out in the UK and around the world in early 2020. In April last year, she gave a rare television speech to UK citizens to raise the mood of people in the country.
