Worlds collide and Twitter explodes when Twitch streamer Tommyinnit surprisingly leaked that TikTok superstar Addison Rae is on the Minecraft Discord Dream SMP (multiplayer survival) server.
Founded by Dream Team, the Dream SMP Minecraft private server is a world of RPG, drama and, above all, entertainment. Familiar with their fair share of intriguing characters, fans are now pushing the limits of curiosity and enthusiasm with the possibility that a mainstream icon, TikTok, can enter Minecraft players, Twitch streamers and the YouTubers arena.
Dream, the faceless persona behind the server, has 16 million subscribers on YouTube. Tommyinnit, the English teenager and one of fastest growing streamers, has 3 million followers on Twitch. Rae, who gained fame for his clean dance moves, has 34 million followers on Instagram and 75 million on TikTok.
During a Twitch broadcast, Tommyinnit couldn’t help but notice Rae on SMP Dream’s general Discord channel. Expressing serious surprise and confusion, the streamer discussed his presence and quickly sparked social media while fans debated what that presence might entail.
While the games already seemed like a niche domain, internet celebrities like Rae and James Charles, or even American politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, everyone got involved in the streaming world at the height of popularity among us.
Unfortunately, Rae’s specific crossover experience in the Twitch streaming world was less than ideal, as she encountered serious reactions in her session between us with Pokimane, the corpse husband and, in what can now be considered a preview, Dream.
Without being overwhelmed by this hatred, it seems that Rae’s interest in games has not been shaken. And, to the delight of those who prefer positive energy to hate, Dream SMP fans seem to be taking this leak in a much more fun and confusing way than the Twitch chat.

It is still unclear whether or not Rae will take on a real role in Dream SMP or whether she was simply testing the water by joining Discord. Later, when Tommyinnit tried to invite the TikTok superstar for a voice chat, she ignored the request, causing him to call her an “idiot”, jokingly.
With this almost leaked involvement, already leading social media into a state of frenzy, one can only imagine the potential for content if “Draem SMP” becomes a reality.
