Lafayette Police are responding to Shopping Acadiana after reports of gunfire.
According to LPD spokesman Cpl. Bridgette Dugas, police responded to reports of a fight in the food court at Shopping Acadiana over Ambassador Caffery.
A gun was fired during the incident and a shot was fired, police said. No injuries were reported at this time.
The Lafayette Police emphasizes that this was an isolated incident and is working to locate the individuals involved.
The mall will be closed until the end of the night.
Witnesses tell KATC that they heard gunshots and then saw people running. People were kept in the back of stores by the employees of the mall.
