Kate Middleton returned to royal public duties this week with Prince William, after taking a break during the holidays. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge participated in a virtual chat on Wednesday and shared an image of the video call – and revealed a peek inside their home in the process.
As the royal couple was confirmed to be at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk country house, last Saturday (their children gave Kate a birthday tea, of course), and the UK is currently in confinement, it can be assumed safely that Will and Kate participated in the video call there.
The bottom shows a cream sofa, covered with decorative pillows, as well as some plants and a table, on which the Cambridges seem to have placed some family photos. The pair also arranged decorative porcelain plates on their walls – hardly a surprise, as the Windsors love some porcelain.
The purpose of the call was for the royal couple to know about the grief counseling and support that is being provided to help essential workers in the midst of the pandemic. The National charity Hospice UK launched a helpline called Just ‘B’ to help frontline workers cope with losses and trauma in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Through the Royal Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund, Duke and Duchess partnered with NHS England, NHS Improvement and the Department of Health and Social Care to help fund the helpline.
During the meeting, Will and Kate listened to Just ‘B’ advisers, as well as the NHS staff, who benefited from the helpline services.
