America’s Dad is performing, and now, America’s Rock Star is performing. Bruce Springsteen was added to Joe Biden’s prime time opening special, “Celebrating America”, which will be hosted by Tom Hanks. And he’s definitely singing “Born in the USA”, right? John Legend and Foo Fighters also joined the show schedule, according to New York Times, alongside previously announced musicians Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi and Ant Clemons. The announcement also adds Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington to the event, where they will feature segments. The 90-minute special, starting at 8:30 pm ET, will take place after the afternoon Biden inauguration ceremony on January 20. This event will feature the National Anthem sung by the prominent supporter Lady Gaga and a presentation by Jennifer Lopez.
Inaugural Biden Committee also announced a pre-party event on January 17th. “We the People Concert” will feature musicians like Carole King, James Taylor, will.i.am and AJR – along with a full circle performance of Fall Out Boy, after guitarist Pete Wentz’s parents met during the first Biden’s term in the Senate. Ah! Keegan-Michael Key and Debra Messing will host the event, which will also feature actors such as Connie Britton and Sophia Bush, at 8 pm Eastern Time.
