Time for changes?

Tesla may finally be approaching an update for its oldest cars on sale, the Model S and Model X. According to an Electrek report on Friday, citing sources familiar with the automaker’s plans, Tesla recently told employees to liquidate all Model S and Model X cars currently in the company’s inventory, which probably points to updated EVs this year.
The site also noted that Tesla actually closed the assembly lines for the automaker’s two electric cars in December. Combined with the most recent information reported, it certainly looks like the changes are underway. Tesla does not operate a public relations department to respond to requests for comment, so as always with these Tesla rumors, take everything with care.
However, if Tesla is determined to sell its current Model S and Model X shares, there may be some good deals going on. Perhaps we will see the company sweeten the deal in other ways as well with extended free supercharging or something similar. We will have to be on the lookout for any extra incentives, which could be further evidence that Tesla is ready to launch some new and updated EVs.
We haven’t heard much about what the updated Model S and Model X EVs can contain, but a supposed sketch showed what the company invented for the two luxury cars. The supposed redesign seems to include many elements of the Model 3 and Model Y with a more minimalist approach and a huge screen in the center.
Updated S and EV models were not in our list of what to expect from Tesla in 2021, but it would be a welcome surprise. The cars may look light years ahead of other luxury EVs at the moment, but they are starting to look a little dated.
