After months of speculation and leaks, S Pen support on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is official. Notes are no longer the only Samsung phones to support the company’s stylus, and in fact, if you’re looking for one for the S21 Ultra, you can choose between the regular S Pen and an S Pen Pro.

Like the Note 20 Ultra S Pen, the S Pen Pro supports Bluetooth and will give you access to aerial gestures, allowing users to control media and presentations (among other things) remotely. Although there is no official information about its size, the S Pen Pro is much larger than the skinny pen provided with Note phones.

This means two things: first, it will be much more comfortable to use; second, it will be a little problematic to store, as you probably won’t receive a carrying case (due to its size) like the smaller S Pen.

As the S Pen Pro didn’t have much screen time during the event, there are still some unanswered questions. It doesn’t have a price tag yet; what can we expect to pay? There is no information on how you will be charged; wireless or wired charging, who knows? We also don’t know if it will offer a low latency experience like the Note 20 Ultra S Pen. Presumably most that technology will continue, but confirmation remains undefined.

We hope that these questions will be answered before the release of the S Pen Pro later this year.
