[VIDEO] ‘For All Mankind’ Season 2 Trailer – Apple TV Plus

Apple TV + is exploding in the cosmos with a trailer for the second season of the alternate history space drama For all mankind, which opens the first of its 10 episodes on Friday, February 19.

The drama, starring Joel Kinnaman, explores what would have happened if the USSR beat the Americans to the moon and the global space race had never ended. The second season begins a decade later, in 1983, at the height of the Cold War.

“Ronald Reagan is the president, and the greatest ambitions of science and space exploration are in danger of being wasted while the US and the Soviets face off to control resource-rich places on the Moon,” according to the official synopsis. “The Department of Defense has moved to Mission Control and NASA’s militarization becomes central to the stories of various characters: some struggle, some use it as an opportunity to defend their own interests and some find themselves at the height of a conflict that can lead to nuclear war. “
