Drying overnight before a cooler weekend!

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A cold front will run through the Lowcountry tonight, bringing rain and milder temperatures during the night. After reaching 60 for most areas earlier today, temperatures drop to 40 degrees tonight. Cleaning during the night and cooling behind the cold front, the minimums will be in the mid 30s. The cooler air will be above this weekend behind the front. We expect a lot of sun, but the highs will have a hard time reaching 50 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Expect a very cold Sunday morning, with inland spots around 20 and coastal locations in the mid 30s. High pressure will increase across the Lowcountry next week, leading to a lot of sunshine and a gradual warm-up with mid-week highs in the 60s.
