Captain Toad’s Super Mario 3D World stages have been renewed in multiplayer mode

Captain Toad 3D World

As if the incredible Bowsertron 5000 wasn’t enough to cheer us up for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury, Nintendo revealed that the Captain Frog levels featured in the game now support multiplayer.

Of course, you should remember that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker actually started out as a series of isometric minigames found within Super Mario 3D World on Wii U. The concept was so good that Nintendo decided to turn the idea into a new game on their own right itself – one that has already been released on Wii U, 3DS and Switch.

Originally, in 3D World on Wii U, Captain Toad levels were only for one player, but that is about to change when the game is re-released on Switch; Nintendo confirmed on its official website that Captain Toad’s puzzle phases now support up to four players. Wahoo!
