Contestant ‘Survivor’ Angie Jakusz Dead at 40

Angie Jakusz, who prepared for the relentless jungle to compete in Survivor: Palau in 2004, died at the age of 40. TMZ reports that Jakusz battled a rare form of cancer for several years and established himself as an artist and bartender in New Orleans after his death Palau season. She was last affiliated with the franchise in 2010, when she appeared at a ten-year anniversary party. Although it only lasts a few episodes before it elimination, Jakusz, who earned the nickname “No Fun Angie”, was a fan favorite contestant as a member of the Ulong tribe. She also did Survivor history, notes TMZ, for becoming the first competitor to lose a revenge on a tribal council. “Angie was an incredibly passionate person with an extraordinary desire for life,” says her obituary. “Whether she was sewing, painting, drawing, doing nail art or makeup, fantasizing, reading, snorkeling, diving, traveling or just doing hell, she did it with laser precision and love.”
