Alabama assistant leaving to be Steve Sarkisian’s offensive coordinator in Texas

Two years ago, Kyle Flood followed Steve Sarkisian from the Atlanta Falcons to Alabama.

Now, he must follow Sarkisian once again.

Flood, the coach of the offensive line for Crimson Tide for the past two seasons, has been hired to be the offensive coordinator and coach of the offensive line for Sarkisian in Texas, sources confirmed to AL.com.

The news was first released by Radio ESPN.

Under Flood, Alabama’s offensive line won this season’s Joe Moore Award, which is awarded to the nation’s most important offensive line unit.

Prior to Alabama and two seasons as an assistant coach on the offensive line with the Falcons, Flood was the head coach of the 2012-15 Rutgers.
