Auburn’s football program considers it appropriate to invade South Carolina’s technical football team, so they will have to pay. First year head coach Bryan Harsin, joining his team at The Plains, hired three coaches from the Gamecocks football program and all three had acquisitions that will be due to the school.

Amigo, who was part of the program just over a week ago, signed his term of agreement that was approved by the schools’ Board of Trustees on Monday, January 4. Bobo and Rocker did not sign amendments to the contract, which were approved by BOT on the same date.
Both Bobo and Rocker were in business for several years at the time with Gamecocks and had one year remaining from their previous contract. The acquisition totals that need to be paid reflect your initial contract with the program.
It should be noted that the acquisitions are due by the coaches, not Auburn. The coaches’ new employer is certainly free to help pay or pay all the money owed to South Carolina, but it is the coach who owes the school.
South Carolina’s first year head coach Shane Beamer moved quickly to replace Bobo. The Gamecocks hired Marcus Satterfield, who came to Columbia after serving as an assistant offensive line coach last season for the Carolina Panthers as the team’s new offensive coordinator.
