Couple tries to beat COVID curfew by making his wife walk with her husband on a leash

QUEBEC – A Canadian couple thought they had found a breach in the curfew rules by making the wife “walk” with her husband while he was wearing a collar.

On Saturday, Canadian authorities began a new curfew, from 8 pm to 5 am, due to a recent wave of COVID-19. Quebec provincial police saw the couple walking in the town of Sherbrooke at around 9 pm local time, about an hour after the curfew began.

When questioned by the police, the couple said they were following rules that allow people to break the curfew to walk pets near their homes, the BBC reports.

Unfortunately for the couple, the police had no excuse and fined the two more than $ 1,200 each.

According to the report, police in Quebec issued 750 fines for violating the curfew the first weekend in force.
