EXCLUSIVE: The studio’s executive, Elizabeth Raposo, seems to have found her next big show, as she was named president of the Outlier Society flag by Michael B. Jordan. Raposo was recently president of production for Paramount before leaving last fall.
The exhaustive search for the position took six months, with the company meeting with a dozen executives before landing at Raposo. After leaving Paramount, Raposo quickly became one of the most coveted executives in the city and found that she fit into Jordan and the Outlier Society to be exactly what she was looking for. In this role, she will oversee the production and development of all aspects of the business alongside Jordan.
During his 15 years at Paramount Pictures, most recently as president of production, Raposo led franchises, large-scale films and material directed by filmmakers. She supervised several entries in the Mission Impossible series including Mission: Impossible-Fallout, JJ Abrams Star Trek series, Abrams Super 8 as well as the Transformers franchise MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT, the JJ Abrams STAR TREK series, the SUPER 8 directed by Abrams and the restart of Transformers BUMBLEBEE. Raposo also supervised A peaceful place, mutant teenage ninja turtles, interstellar, Sonic the Hedgehog and Jack Reacher. More recently, she oversaw the development and production of the next A Quiet Place Part II, Top Gun: Maverick and Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse starring Michael B. Jordan. In addition, while at Paramount, Raposo worked closely with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way, Brad Pitt’s Plan B and Martin Scorsese, who all had general contracts with the studio. She started her career as an assistant at CAA before moving to Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa Pictures.

Jordan launched the Outlier Society in 2016 with the aim of bringing diverse stories and voices to the market. The impressive list of upcoming projects includes Amazon Studio’s Without remorse and the feature film directed by Denzel Washington Journal For Jordan with Jordan starring each one, the film adaptation of the fantasy novel Black Leopard, Red Wolf by acclaimed author Marlon James and the second season of the OWN drama series about coming of age David makes the man.
