Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard release new song ‘Undivided’ that calls for unity

Country stars Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard released a new single together.

“Undivided” was released on Wednesday at midnight and, in their lyrics, the musicians call for unity among people, despite their race, political and religious beliefs. The song’s release comes at a time when tensions are rising among Americans, following the disturbances that occurred last week at the United States Capitol.

“I think it’s time to come together / You and I can make a change / Maybe we can make a difference / Make the world a better place / Look around and love someone / We’ve been hateful enough long enough / Let the good God come together us until this country we love is undivided, “McGraw and Hubbard sing in the chorus.

Hubbard announced on Instagram that he wrote and produced the song.

“Congratulations on looking at all of humanity with love, compassion, empathy and grace. Thank you, Lord, for this song and this message. Thank you @thetimmcgraw for believing in this song and asking me to participate in it. Thanks to the whole team and my boys @coreycrowder and @chrisloockguitar for helping me write and produce this. I’m very honored, “said Hubbard, who makes up the Florida Georgia Line with Brian Kelley.

McGraw, 53, also shared a link to the song on Twitter before its release.

“When are we going to start seeing through someone else’s eyes?” McGraw wrote.

“I definitely missed my family. It was a lot harder for my wife than it was for me,” he said. “She was at home chasing babies while I was having a party on the tour bus, but for the most part it was just a special and very inspiring moment.”

Hubbard continued to share that he believes that music is “what we all need now.”

“It is also a matter of responsibility for us. If we are going to sing this and this is our message, then we have to live up to that. We have to look around and love people. We have to let God be in control and lead us, “Hubbard told the outlet.

“Either you go to church or you go to hell / Get a job and work or go to jail / I just wish we didn’t think that way / Why does it have to be all white or all black? And when will we ‘learn to try someone’s shoes sometimes? When do we start seeing through someone else’s eyes? “

The release of “Undivided” comes just a week after Hubbard and his Florida bandmate Georgia Line, Brian Kelley, confirmed that they will release solo songs, but they are not breaking up.
