Christina Anstead gains power with Maya Angelou’s phrase tattooed on her back as she moves on with Ant Anstead’s divorce
Christina Anstead tattooed a powerful quote from Maya Angelou on her body after Ant Anstead’s divorce.
The HGTV star, 37, posted an Instagram photo of the new stylish inscription, with ink on her upper back.
“I still get up,” said the cursive.

The quote was from Angelou Still I Rise’s poem, and Anstead posted an excerpt from the work in its caption.
“Like moons and suns, with the certainty of the tides, as well as hopes rising high, I will still rise,” posted Anstead, along with a credit to the iconic poet.
The elegant ink was tattooed vertically on her spine and was visible when Christina lifted a lock of her blond hair at the camera.
Newly single after Ant’s divorce, the inspiring tattoo is just another sign that Anstead is moving on with her head held high.

The couple had been married for less than two years when Anstead announced that they had decided to separate. Then she filed for divorce a few months later.
During their short marriage, they welcomed a son, Hudson London Anstead.
Anstead also shares her daughter Taylor, 10, and her son Braydon, five, with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, with whom she was married until 2018.

El Moussa is now engaged to Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young, who is also involved in her children’s lives.
– They are also coparentes. It is strictly professional, but yes. Everyone gets along. (…) If I need children or she needs them, we are flexible ‘, he said.
