MP Mikie Sherrill, DN.J., said on Tuesday that she witnessed some lawmakers leading people across the Capitol the day before the rebellion on what looked like a “reconnaissance” tour, and said members would be held responsible.
Sherrill made his comments during a 13-minute video on Facebook, where he addressed his constituents about the steps Congress will take to hold President Trump and “those responsible” for allegedly inciting the riot.
“I also intend to see those members of Congress who instigated it, those members of Congress who had groups coming through the capital that I saw on January 5 for recognition the next day. Those members of Congress who incited the violent crowd. Members of Congress who have tried to help our president undermine our democracy, I will see that they are held accountable, “said Sherrill.

The congresswoman did not nominate any of the legislators, nor did she offer additional details on what qualified her actions as “recognition”. It is unclear how it determined that “recognition” was connected to the following day’s disturbances, according to Politico.
His office did not immediately respond to an out-of-hours e-mail from Fox News.
Sherrill also discussed why she voted for a resolution urging Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
The measure passed Tuesday night (223-205) and was seen as symbolic because Pence had already said he would not take the measure. The House is expected to vote for the president’s impeachment on Wednesday.
Sherrill also detailed his account of what happened on January 6, when pro-Trump protesters invaded the Capitol, which put Congress in recess and the Capitol building in lockdown – while members tried to certify the results of the presidential election in favor of the president. elect Joe Biden.
