The American treasure Betty White turns 99 next week, with the beloved actress revealing how she plans to celebrate.

The Golden Girls star turns 99 on January 17, although she told Entertainment Tonight that her daily routine was altered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite approaching the mark of the century, White is still as active as he can, including working on relaunching one of his favorite shows, The Pet Set.

– You probably didn’t ask, but I’ll say it anyway. What am I doing on my birthday? Running a mile every morning has been restricted by COVID, so I’m working to relaunch The Pet Set and feed the two ducks that come to visit me every day, ‘said White.

White created The Pet Set, a syndicated series that debuted in 1971, where celebrities appeared with their beloved pets.

The series had 31 episodes, produced by her husband Allen Ludden, with whom she was married from 1963 until her death in 1981.

The Pet Set featured celebrities like Merv Griffin, Rod Serling, Doris Day, Bill Bixby, Barbara Eden, Ava Gabor, Michael Landon and many more.

White welcomed these celebrities and their pets – including dogs, cats, birds and horses – as well as a wide variety of wild animals, including tigers, bears, elephants, lions, wolves, gorillas, cougars, seals, kangaroos, zebras and eagles – both in the studio and on-site.

For those who never saw The Pet Set when it originally aired, a new DVD will arrive next month to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary.
