More Lee County COVID-19 vaccine consultations available this week

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Lee County announced on Tuesday that there is sufficient vaccine supply to schedule 1,800 new appointments this week.

The reservation line will open at 12:00 on Wednesday, January 13. Reserve slots are expected to be filled in minutes.

The toll-free number is new after the state provider has made updates to the system.

The new number is 866-200-3468. The call line will NOT open until noon on Wednesday, officials stressed.

Appointments will be scheduled for Thursday, January 14th and Friday, January 15th at the location near Southwest Florida International Airport, and only those who are able to make the appointments will be vaccinated.

Seniors aged 65 and over and healthcare professionals will be eligible to receive the vaccine.

After the 1,800 additional vaccines are scheduled, there will be no more vaccine supplies left for this week, FDOH-Lee officials said.

FDOH in Lee County is waiting for information on when and how much vaccine will be available next week.

The vaccination site is located east of I-75 near Daniels Parkway.
