Amazon says the Carbon Black model will be back in stock on January 14, so it is possible that it will also ship orders on a similar schedule.
While not as impressive as Sony’s new DualSense controller for PlayStation 5, the updated Xbox wireless controller has some notable improvements. There is a new directional pad and a share button, the last of which is perfectly between the two buttons in the middle. The bottom of the handles now also have rough protrusions to help grip. Otherwise, the overall design remains familiar and, as Devindra Hardawar explained in our review, Xbox fans will feel at home using the new controller. And you don’t have to own an Xbox Series X or S to use one – the new controller works with previous Xbox PCs and consoles, including the Xbox One.
