Hulu with ads costs only $ 2 for college students

Tracking each streaming service is expensive, but Hulu is offering US college students a special plan at a discount of $ 2 a month. Hulu’s ad-supported plan typically costs $ 5.99 a month. The new student plan, which is a perennial offer and will have the same price, as long as students can check the continuity of enrollment, offers more than 65% discount. Students can sign up for the offer now.

Hulu has made offers like this in the past for subscribers in general (not just for college students), but those offers were for a limited time. Hulu’s Black Friday sale, for example, saw the cost drop to $ 2 a month for an entire year. However, this is all for plans with ads. Hulu’s ad-free plan remains much more expensive, reaching $ 11.99 a month and putting it on the same price shelf as Netflix ($ 13.99 a month for its most popular plan) and HBO Max (US $ 14.99 per month).

Still, for college students looking to just watch new FX programs on Hulu or immerse themselves in bad reality shows or procedural drama marathons, it’s a good deal. Hulu now also allows people to participate in watch groups, which allow subscribers to watch programs and movies together while they are apart. The only downside (aside from having to deal with ads) is that Hulu’s discount level doesn’t allow viewing offline, so don’t expect to watch episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale in motion.
