The NBA season is escaping through the gates … with several games being postponed due to COVID-19.
The league was hit hard by the virus last week … as the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks and others struggle to get enough men on the court due to NBA Health and Safety protocols.
Fresh out of the Heat clash with the Celtics being postponed on Sunday, the Association has now postponed 2 more games – Mavs vs New Orleans Pelicans and Celtics vs Chicago Bulls.
Of course, the league requires a cast of 8 players to compete … and the Heat and Mavs were unable to meet this requirement, as they perform contact tracking after positive or inconclusive tests in their organizations.
The Philadelphia 76ers also dealt with COVID-related issues after Seth Curry tested positive last week.
Despite the mess, league officials say they are NOT going to postpone the season … since they predicted some hiccups along the way.
Could a return to the Orlando bubble be on the horizon ??
