Belkin’s second MagSafe dock discards Apple Watch charger and price

Since Apple unveiled its new MagSafe charging standard, officially approved wireless chargers using the standard are few. But Belkin is increasing those numbers with its new 2-in-1 BoostCharge Pro MagSafe wireless charger, which also brings a more palatable price of $ 99.95.

Similar to the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 3-in-1 wireless charger, the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 wireless charger – as you might imagine – can charge two products instead of three. Now, the futuristic charging tree will only offer a MagSafe pad and a regular Qi charger for your AirPods (or any other device that fits), discarding the Apple Watch charger found in the 3-in-1.

And like the 3-in-1, the new BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 is an official MagSafe device approved by MFi, meaning it is one of the few options available to take advantage of the 15W wireless charger plus MagSafe fast. And the one-third reduction in functionality comes with a similar reduction in price: the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2 in 1 costs $ 99.95, compared to the $ 149.95 that Belkin charges for its larger version.

The BoostCharge Pro MagSafe 2-in-1 wireless charger is scheduled to launch later this year in March or April, when it will be available on Apple and Belkin websites.

Along with the new wireless charger, Belkin also announced its second set of wireless headphones, the Soundform Freedom True Wireless headphones. While the original Soundform True Wireless headphones were an economical $ 59.99 option (with matching features), Belkin is aiming higher with the Soundform Freedom buttons. The new buttons feature better battery life (up to eight hours, with an additional 20 hours in the case), USB-C charging and better background noise isolation (although there is no active noise cancellation).

Notably, Soundform Freedom headphones will also be one of the first third-party products to work with Apple’s Find My network (something that Apple announced it would be offering as an option last year). This means that – similar to Apple’s own AirPods – you’ll be able to use the Find My app on iPhone and Mac devices to locate your lost headphones, using the same crowdsourced network of Apple products that the company’s own devices can use.

Soundform Freedom headphones also offer Qi and USB-C charging, replaceable ear tips and are rated IPX5 for sweat and splash resistance. Belkin has not yet announced the prices, but they will be available for purchase in March or April.
