The CEO of conservative social app Parler said that all of its suppliers have left the company after recent bans from Google, Apple and Amazon.
“All the providers, from text messaging services to email providers and our lawyers, also left us on the same day,” said Parler CEO John Matze in an interview with Fox News on Sunday.
Google banned Parler on Friday, Apple removed Parler on Saturday and Amazon said Parler would be kicked out of its web hosting services on Sunday night. Each company cited threats of violence posted on Parler in their reasons for removing the app. Images of the app shared by activist group Sleeping Giants showed users calling for violence against Mike Pence and threatening new activities on Capitol Hill on January 19.
In a post on Saturday night, Matze said that the service “will be unavailable on the internet for up to a week while we rebuild from scratch” and that “we have many competing for our business”.
But in Sunday’s interview, Matze said he was having trouble finding a new supplier to work with. “We will try our best to get online as soon as possible, but we are having a lot of problems because all the suppliers we speak to say they will not work with us. Because if Apple doesn’t approve and Google doesn’t approve, they won’t. “
