The cards should benefit from improvements in the Ampere architecture, such as faster lightning tracking, and can add Resizable Base Address Register technology that increases communication between the CPU and the GPU. Existing RTX 30 chips are technically capable, so it may just be a matter of enabling the feature through the software.
NVIDIA can also present a non-Ti desktop RTX 3060 at the virtual event.
There are still some unanswered questions that may have to wait until after the presentation. It is not certain how well the graphics on the RTX 30 laptop compare to those of its competitors. Energy consumption is also a mystery. RTX 30 cards consume a lot of energy and it is not certain how NVIDIA will control this consumption for portable machines.
