Kate Hudson hopes to reconnect with her father and brothers in 2021.
The actress has been estranged from her father, Bill Hudson, for several years. Bill was married to Kate’s mother, Goldie Hawn, but they divorced in the early 1980s, after several years of marriage. Bill had two children with his new wife, Cindy Williams, as well as a third daughter named Lalania.
Speaking in an episode of the “Sibling Revelry” podcast that she shares with her brother, Oliver Hudson, the 41-year-old actress revealed that she is rethinking letting her father and children into her life. According to People, the pair were discussing New Year’s resolutions, which led Kate to note that while she doesn’t have a specific resolution, she is rethinking her family connections.
“Do you know what I’ve been thinking lately? Dad,” Kate shared. “I’ve been thinking about our sisters we don’t spend time with and our brother – brothers. We have four brothers we don’t spend time with,” she said, in an apparent reference that includes Bill The three sons of Hudson and Wyatt, son of Kurt Russell , Kate’s mother’s longtime love.

The star noticed that her brothers are getting older and that now she would like to have a little contact with them in her life.
“I was thinking about how everyone is getting older,” she continued. “It would be nice to connect a little bit, especially with my sisters.”
She added: “We have been talking a lot about sibling relationships and troubled relationships or good relationships – and we are sitting here as if we have the best family, we are so good and yet we never recognize the fact that we have four other siblings. Four. So, I’ve been thinking about the Hudsons. I think it’s important that we reach all of our brothers and maybe connect with them a little bit. “

The actress told Howard Stern in 2016 that she forgave her father for abandoning his mother, who later went on to date Russell.
