Millions of Windows users continue to put themselves at risk, despite warnings from Microsoft

When Microsoft originally ended support, the company said in a blog post that, “If you continue to use Windows 7 after support ends, your PC will still work, but it will be more vulnerable to security risks and viruses because you will no longer receive software updates, including security updates, from Microsoft.

“Microsoft strongly recommends that you move to a new Windows 10 PC to avoid a situation where you need service or support that is no longer available.”

It is not clear why so many people have continued with Windows 7, but one answer may be the fact that Windows 10 has had so many problems since it launched in 2015.

Each new update seems to come with a list of problems and bugs, some even causing accessories like printers to stop working or the dreaded Blue Screen of Death to appear.
