San Antonio will see two new COVID-19 vaccination centers launch on Monday, on the south and west sides.
Eligible residents will be able to receive vaccination on the south side at WellMed Elvira Cisneros Senior Community Center. To register for a consultation, call 833-968-1745.
On the West Side, qualified residents will be able to visit the Alicia Treviño López Community Center for the Elderly. Interested parties can register for appointment by calling 833-968-1745.
Walk-ins are not available anywhere.
San Antonio City Councilors Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia, Ana Sandoval and Rebecca Viagran made the announcement on Saturday morning, at a live press conference.
“People who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine under state guidelines for Phases 1A and 1B will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine,” said councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia on Facebook.
Those who meet the qualifications for Phases 1A and 1B are healthcare professionals, residents of long-term care facilities, residents aged 65 and over, those aged 16 and over with a chronic medical condition.
