Keir Thomas is transferring to Florida state. The old one South Carolina The defensive tackle announced his decision to go to his home state and play for the Seminoles through social media.
Thomas was committed to FSU once as a recruit at Miami Central High. He ended up going to South Carolina and had a productive five-year career with Gamecocks. Thomas (6-3, 275) had 142 tackles, 19.5 TFL and 8.5 sacks in 44 career games.
Thomas must have a year of remaining eligibility in the State of Florida, where he will fight for a seat as a starter or as a defensive defender or quick defender after having assumed both roles as South Carolina. He will likely play outside and inside the FSU , but will mainly work at the limit.

FSU continues to store experienced SEC advocates through the transfer portal. They have already added and signed DE Jermaine Johnson (Georgia), as well as CB McClellion Jarques (Arkansas)
