A new dawn for the MCU begins!
After a year without a Marvel movie, WandaVision it is imminent. The original Disney + series is the first TV show produced by Marvel Studios, the studio responsible for carefully creating Marvel’s cinematic universe on the big screen in the past decade. And with WandaVision premiering on Disney + on Friday, January 15, the first reactions to the show’s first episodes arrived online, courtesy of critics and the press, who had early access.
WandaVision occurs after the events of Avengers: Endgame and stars Elizabeth olsen like Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany like vision. For those who wonder how Vision is still alive, since he was very, very not alive in Avengers: Endgame, well, Wanda may have those questions too.
Marvel maintained very tight control over the plot details, except to say that Wanda and Vision are living a quiet suburban life in the city of Westview when they begin to suspect that things are not what they seem. WandaVision will pay homage to iconic television programs throughout history as a director Matt Shakman (who directed each episode) creates specific episodes as if they were made in certain periods of time. So, we will see Wanda and Vision as a couple in the 1950s I love Lucy– weird scenario, as well as tributes to programs like The Brady Bunch, Full house, and even The office.
This is the beginning of a new era for the Marvel cinematic universe, which will be shown on the small screen and the big screen simultaneously. In contrast to previous Marvel programs, such as SHIELD agents or Reckless, these new programs are being produced by Kevin Feige himself and his stories were planned along with the comprehensive story that will be shown in films like Eternals, Black Widowand Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Check out what everyone said about the first three episodes of WandaVision below. The series debuts exclusively on Disney + on January 15 with its first two episodes. From there, WandaVision will air a new episode a week before ending its season with nine episodes in total.
The entire cast of #WandaVision it’s great and totally committed to the stylized approach, but Elizabeth Olsen’s performance is truly remarkable and one of those situations “Dude, if the awards weren’t snobby about superhero stuff, she would probably have an Emmy nomination”.

WandaVision – it’s a gas! After showing the first 3 episodes, I’m hooked! Fun, smart and wonderful, the quirky 30-minute sitcom style leaves you wanting another episode at a time.#WandaVision pic.twitter.com/HHuTj93cdf

How #WandaVision addresses what we think is normal and whatโs not, makes it incredibly fun to watch just three episodes. I am impressed with how much it offers to fans who wait for MCU content while still showing moderation.

The detailed craftsmanship and practicality that went into recreating the spirit of classic sitcoms is absolutely stunning, but the real magic trick is Shakman’s mastery over a complex tone. It is hysterical, tense, convincing, from another world. One of my FAV MCU entries. #WandaVision pic.twitter.com/vWHIzdi2hz

Watched the first 3 episodes of #WandaVision yesterday. It’s weird and hilarious in ways Marvel doesn’t have a right to try, but they get it right anyway. Then it spreads in mystery just enough to keep you speculating and fascinated. I’m so excited to see how far it can go. pic.twitter.com/7PIFQiUNxF

If the first 3 episodes of WandaVision are any indication of what is in store for us, we are on a wild and crazy journey! This show is crazy banana pants – in the best possible way!
Strange, fun and just incredible, it’s great to be back at the MCU! #WandaVision pic.twitter.com/IAQPrZuwPq

#WandaVision is definitely one of Marvel Studios’ most ambitious endeavors. Stuffed with easter eggs and extremely clever in the way it uses the sitcom format to subvert expectations. Those who expect more of the same will be launched into a loop in the best possible way. pic.twitter.com/FMpdfztYKQ

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are great together in #WandaVision. Their chemistry comes in brilliantly and they are a blast to watch. Bettany is especially having fun and it shows.
There is a lot of heart, fun, mystery and darkness between #Vanda and #The vision. pic.twitter.com/GCIJKBvB73

Watched 3 episodes of #WandaVision and the show is fucking weird (in a good way).
Two things are clear. 1) Marvel is dedicated to parodying classic comedies and 2) the MCU is finally back!
I can’t wait to see how this show sets up Doctor Strange 2 and Spider-Man 3 ๐ pic.twitter.com/nR6rTShfOY

I watched THREE episodes of #WandaVision and I really liked it. Truly unlike anything Marvel Studios has ever done – it’s light, funny and fully committed to its retro sitcom inspirations, but it also carefully sprinkles enough mystery and intrigue to keep you guessing pic.twitter.com/8dqegsg5By
