Microsoft Teams will receive a new Dynamic View feature in March

Microsoft is updating its Teams service with a new Dynamic View in March. This new view allows Teams users to share content side by side with participants. It seems ideally placed for meetings where someone is presenting a slide show or if the participants are attending a live event together.

Dynamic content such as earnings reports, slide shows or videos can be displayed alongside other speakers. Currently on Teams, other participants’ video feeds are tiny when people are sharing screens or presenting presentations. Microsoft’s Gallery View for Teams will automatically optimize with this new view and allow participants to personalize the view.

It will also more clearly highlight active speakers, people who have virtually raised their hands, and allow participants to pin people to the side of dynamic content. Originally unveiled in July, this new Dynamic View will be available to all Microsoft Teams users in March, according to Microsoft’s 365 product roadmap.

The use of Microsoft Teams has skyrocketed in the past 10 months of the pandemic, with the service being used by more than 115 million people daily. Microsoft has added features to Teams on what appears to be a monthly basis, with virtual break rooms appearing in December along with an enhanced calling experience.
