South Carolina Gamecocks added another player from the transfer portal
David Spaulding, Georgia Southern defender, announced his move to South Carolina on Thursday afternoon. He’s a former Gamecock varsity teammate running back Kevin Harris.

2020-21: Played in eight games … Watched the action in 59 snaps in total (45 on defense, 14 on special teams) … Recorded seven tackles in the season along with a pass break and an interception … Had a tackle on the cover at ULM … I was on the field for five snaps against UMass … I played six defensive snaps against South Alabama … I played two snaps against Troy … I played a snap against Texas State … You saw a brief action in special teams in the West Point Army … had a pass split in the state of Georgia … had two tackles against the Florida Atlantic … received a 28-yard interception back home for the opening score against App State. .. ended with four tackles in the game.
2019-20: I didn’t see any action from the game … It was redshirted … Won the Honor Roll in the spring.

FOLKS: Born David Devontae Spaulding on June 5 in Savannah, GA… Son of Lynwood Spaulding Sr. and Elvette Spaulding… He has three brothers – Marquis, John and Lynwood Jr. – and a sister, Latoya Sims.
