Hyundai’s partnership with Apple’s EV is driving stock prices up.

Hyundai Motor’s share prices are rising by 17.5 percent, according to a report published on Thursday by Reuters.

The increase is probably due to the announcement of a partnership between the South Korean automaker and Apple to develop the Apple car, also known as Project Titan. Specifically, it is said that Hyundai will lead the battery design for the electric vehicle.

This news comes a few weeks after the announcement that Hyundai has acquired a 80% of the controlling interest inside scary robot dog manufacturer Boston Dynamics for $ 921 million. We frankly shudder at the thought of scary robotic EV snakes or worse coming out of it.

Hyundai did not immediately respond to the Roadshow’s request for comment.
