Winter Project, a brutal eight-person survival / betrayal game set in the relentless snow-covered jungle, has been confirmed as a Switch release “soon”. Another Ocean Interactive, also responsible for 3DS Minecraft and the Wii U port of Costume Quest 2, released the PC game in February 2019, and also just announced that the game will arrive on the Xbox Game Pass in late January.
Like any survival game, Project Winter offers a very horrible ways to die: beaten to death by a bear, crushed to death by a furious moose, poisoned by berries, eaten by wolves and killed by a teammate … who was a saboteur all along. With proximity-based voice chat, you want to make sure you don’t wander alone, because your friends won’t be able to hear you scream for help if the traitors find you.

The developers have a roadmap for the game on their website, which lists “Port to Nintendo Switch” as something they would like to complete in the future, so it is not clear exactly how far they are in the portability process. The website simply lists the game as “Coming soon”.
We will have an update when we know the date. In the meantime, why not check out similar survival games for the cold, The long dark and The red lantern practice your snow skills?
