SC Protection Services Office increasing security at State House

COLOMBIA, SC (WOLO) – The South Carolina Bureau of Protection Services says it is working with law enforcement to maintain enhanced security at State House. The agency asks anyone who sees something suspicious to call security at 803-734-2422 or 911.

BPS is coordinating with state and local law enforcement partners to maintain enhanced security at the State House. BPS reminds visitors to remain vigilant. If they see something suspicious, please inform the officers on the spot or call BPS security at 803-734-2422 or 911.

This happened a day after violence broke out on the United States Capitol during the Electoral College certification.
