Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr summoned several Republican leaders on Wednesday after pro-Trump supporters invaded the United States Capitol, claiming, “You reap what you sow”.
Kerr spoke to the media at a pre-game press conference before the Warriors faced the Los Angeles Clippers and addressed several Republican senators by name, apparently blaming them for inciting the day’s protests by questioning the legitimacy of the election results.

“I would like people like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Josh Hawley to have to do media before the game before meeting in Congress,” he said, through The San Francisco Gate. “It would be great for them to answer the question, ‘Are you happy now? Do you keep moving the line back? Does that change anything? Will you continue to enable it?'”
Kerr, an outspoken critic of Trump who also publicly supported the Black Lives Matter movement and the NBA’s efforts to highlight him, told reporters that the continued behavior of some in Washington has allowed events like Wednesday’s to become normal.
“If we allow people in power to lie, you will suddenly have millions of people doubting an election that has been certified in every state,” he continued.

“We had seven or eight million more people who voted for [Joe] Biden than for [Donald] Trump. Each state has certified these results. All judicial appeals were rejected. A legitimate election is suddenly questioned by millions of people, including many of the people who are leading our country in government, because we have decided in recent years to allow lies to be told. This is who we are. You reap what you sow.”
“That’s who we are. You reap what you sow.”
President Trump issued a statement Thursday morning promising an “orderly transition” later this month, after Congress certified the Electoral College vote that handed Biden the presidency.
“Although I totally disagree with the result of the election and the facts confirm it, there will be an orderly transition on January 20,” says the statement. “I always said that we would continue our fight to ensure that only the legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it is only the beginning of our struggle to Make America Great Again!”
