February 12 marks the first day of the Lunar New Year, with 2021 marking the Year of the Ox and saying goodbye to the Year of the Rat. To celebrate, Apple is launching the limited edition AirPods Pro in some Asian countries, with a case marked with a new version of the cow emoji.
Apple has also made an overhaul with the ox theme in its logo on some regional versions of its website:

The special edition of AirPods Pro is sold at the same price as the normal AirPods Pro, which is a good thing, considering that you can order those with any text or emoji you want engraved on the box for free. They cost 1,999 yuan ($ 310) in mainland China, for example, and are also on sale in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.
Apple is limiting orders to two per customer, and AirPods Pro will be available only at retail Apple Stores, as well as on local Apple websites in each region. The Year of the Ox occurs only once every 12 years, so if you buy these, you may end up wishing to exchange them for a tiger-themed model in one year – assuming Apple decides to launch one.
