Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry accessed Twitter to denounce the blatant hypocrisy of President Donald Trump, whose supporters violently stormed the United States Capitol building on Wednesday.
On July 27, 2020, while Black Lives Matter protests continued in Portland, Oregon, Trump condemned the protesters and even tagged the Department of Homeland Security at the end of his tweet.
“Anarchists, agitators or Protestants who vandalize or damage our Federal Court in Portland, or any federal buildings in any of our cities or states, will be prosecuted under our recently re-enacted Statues and Monuments Act. MINIMUM OF TEN YEARS IN PRISON. Do not do it! “
Trump sent federal law enforcement officers to Portland to stop peaceful demonstrations.
The Warriors sniper tweeted Trump’s post in July, when “protesters” occupied the Capitol building to interrupt the joint session of Congress that certified the results of the 2020 election. The siege was directly incited by Trump’s words at a rally in Washington DC on Wednesday.
“There is literally a tweet for everything. The cat ate your tongue today, huh? “Stephen Curry I wrote.
Only 13 arrests were made after the attempted capture of the Capitol, during which a person was shot to death.
Warriors guard Klay Thompson shared a cartoon image of Trump’s reaction to the siege of the Capitol, depicting the president in a capirote Ku Klux Klan.

Curry has been a vocal critic of Trump on several occasions. In July 2019, Guard Warriors praised CNN’s Victor Blackwell for a segment that rebukes the president’s racist criticism of the city of Baltimore.
In 2017, Steph also declined a visit to the White House after the Warriors won the title.
“I don’t want to go,” said Curry. “… We don’t basically defend what our president has – the things he said and the things he didn’t say in the right terms … we will not accept,” he said. “And by acting and not going, I hope that this will inspire some change with regard to what we tolerate in this country and what is accepted and what we close our eyes to.”
Trump then turned Curry and the Warriors off to the White House, resulting in LeBron James, who became famous calling the president is a “tramp”.
The Warriors are scheduled to host the Clippers at the Chase Center on Wednesday night. At the time of writing, no games have been canceled or postponed due to developments in DC
