Nintendo announced on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of Next Level Games, based in Vancouver, to make it a wholly owned subsidiary. NintendoThe acquisition of is expected to be completed on March 1st.
Through this acquisition, Nintendo he said he will ensure the availability of Next Level Games’ development resources, including development experience and increased speed and quality through closer communication and team change. Several managing directors of Next Level Games recently decided that it was time to sell their shares, which led to the company’s exploration of potential sale transactions.
Next Level Games worked with Nintendo to develop exclusive titles, including Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Nintendo Light switch, Luigi’s Mansion: Shadowmoon and Metroid Prime: Federation Strength for Nintendo 3DS, and Mario Strikers Charged for Nintendo Wii.
