During a recent online question and answer session, Fauci explained that – at best – low-risk Americans with no underlying diseases will be able to receive a vaccine in April. After that, it’s just a matter of vaccinating as many people as possible, as soon as possible.
Fauci added:
If things go as planned and we hope they do, and we start vaccinating the general public, that is, people who are not in a priority group, if we can start this in April and then vaccinate people very aggressively from April, may, June, July and August, I hope that when we reach the fall of 2021, the end of September, October, November, we will be able to approach a strong degree of normality.
Subsequently, Fauci added that life may not return to normal 100% immediately, but that it will be safe to eat in restaurants, go to the theater and even watch live sporting events.
Looking to the future, Fauci is confident that the US can significantly increase vaccinations. Fauci said a few days ago that there is no reason why the United States should not be able to reach the vaccination rate of 1 million people per day.
