Samsung is working hard to bring One UI 3 to its smartphone line, sharing its update schedule last month. Based on Android 11, these releases include many useful new features, as well as a redesigned notification tab. After the distribution of some newer devices, it’s finally time for the S10 to start to taste, with the One UI 3 starting to land for the Galaxy S10e and S10 5G in Switzerland.
While it is great to see this update coming, users involved in the One UI 3 S10 beta test may want to take note: When the Note20 update arrived, some beta users waited up to a week before their new OTA arrived. There is a chance that it may be the case again with the S10, in which case users may find some luck skipping the queue and trying to force an update with their PCs. If you have Samsung’s Smart Switch PC application, you can try using you to install the latest firmware available for your phone – there is no guarantee that it will work, but if you are as impatient as I am, it’s worth a try.
So far, Samsung has done a good job of launching Android 11 on its devices. It may be a little slower at times than we would like, but the company still outperformed most of its competitors, in addition to improving the timeline of last year’s Android 10.
We will keep this page updated as One UI 3 is implemented in more regions, as well as the normal S10 and S10 +.
