HICKORY GROVE, SC (AP) – The FBI is offering a reward of up to $ 10,000 for information that leads to lawsuits against two men and a woman accused of beating and stealing an elderly couple in a home invasion on Christmas Day .
The 72-year-old wife remains in critical condition, the York County sheriff’s spokesman told The Herald.
The FBI describes the suspects as a slim white woman in her 20s and two tall, thin men, one white and one black. The two men were between 25 and 35 years old and wore black hooded sweatshirts and surgical-style facial masks. The woman is described as blonde, about 1.7 meters tall and weighing about 59 pounds.
All three must be considered armed and dangerous, the FBI said.
York County deputies told news agencies that the woman knocked on the couple’s door after dark on December 25, luring her 75-year-old husband into an ambush, telling him that she had trouble with the car.
The three beat, tied and stole the couple, the media reported. A gun, jewelry and money were among the stolen items, the FBI said.
The woman who was beaten is still hospitalized, Trent Faris, a spokesman for the York County Sheriff’s Office, told The Herald.
“She is clinging to life,” he said.
