JoJo Siwa spoke after lending his name to a board game for children that some parents considered inappropriate.
Nickelodeon recently launched a board game for children called “JoJo’s Juice”, with questions for players to answer, but the 17-year-old influencer says she didn’t know all the content.
Page six reported that some parents were upset to see questions such as, “Have you ever stepped on someone naked or has someone entered you?” and “Have you ever left home without underwear (swimsuit doesn’t count)?”
“We respect and value the relationship that JoJo Siwa has with his fans and take the concerns raised about the game ‘JoJo’s Juice’ very seriously. This game is no longer being manufactured and we ask retailers to remove any remaining products from their shelves” , reads a joint statement from Nickelodeon and Spin Master provided to Fox News.
On Tuesday, the popular celebrity went to Instagram to share a video message explaining the situation and to speak out unequivocally against the board game.

“I was informed by my fans and followers on TikTok that my name and image were used to promote this board game with really inappropriate content,” said an enthusiastic Siwa in the video.

“When companies make these games, they don’t manage all the aspects for me, so I had no idea what kinds of questions were on those playing cards,” she continued. “Well, when I first saw this, I was really upset at how rude these questions were and so I immediately caught Nickelodeon’s attention.”

The star concluded: “And since then, they have been working to get this game [stopped from] being made and also removed from all shelves wherever it is being sold. I hope you all know that I would never, ever approve or agree to be associated with this game if I had seen those cards before they started selling it. “

This is not the first time that the star faces controversy over a product that came out with her name. In June, the “Dance Moms” star faced some reaction after Claire’s was forced to remove her makeup kit after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found that the powder eyeshadow tested positive for asbestos, a toxic material that can cause asbestosis and lung cancer.
