Technology stocks plummet as Georgia Senate race tends to be Democratic

Technology stocks fell early in the day, with the high-tech Nasdaq dropping more than 1%, with investors positioning themselves for Democratic control of the legislative and executive branches.

The decline in names like Apple, Facebook and Amazon, all down more than 2%, is due to concerns that additional regulations could hurt their profits.
