Microsoft confirms that Final Fantasy Xbox Game Pass titles are still coming

Turn your mind to the X019, and you must remember Microsoft making a big announcement for the Xbox Game Pass detailing some of the fantastic new games scheduled to enter service in 2020, including ten games in the Final Fantasy franchise. It is now 2021, and only four of the ten Final Fantasy games Microsoft has promised have found their way into the Game Pass library, which left many wondering if favorites like Final Fantasy X: HD Remastered and Final Fantasy XIII would enter the Game Pass in all. Microsoft has now confirmed that more Final Fantasy titles will arrive in 2021.

Xbox Game Pass X019 Final Fantasy announcement

A Microsoft spokesman told TrueAchievements: “As we announced at X019, we are excited to bring the Final Fantasy franchise to players with the Xbox Game Pass. We did this throughout 2020 and will continue to do so in 2021 and beyond. We look forward to announcing specific release dates for more Final Fantasy titles in the future. “Microsoft has not given us a reason for the delay, but it is comforting to know that Final Fantasy X: Remastered HD, Final Fantasy X-2: Remastered HD, Final Fantasy XII: The Age of the Zodiac, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII- 2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII are still joining the Xbox Game Pass library, although a little later than originally planned.

Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades can be played on the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC.
