Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro are on their way to becoming parents.
The entertainment reporter, 42, revealed that she and her producer husband, 53, are planning to move to accommodate their growing family in Tuesday’s episode of their “Better Together” program.
She explained that she was thinking about moving to Nashville, saying, “It’s beautiful, [and] we are going to have a family. We want to raise them somewhere where there are children in the house next door to play and you are not afraid. LA just doesn’t have that … especially in the childhood phase of our lives, [I] wants something different. … I think Nashville could be Mama Bear’s bed. “
She announced that she would have children on the December 15 episode of the show, saying that their arrival was helping her mother, Litsa, overcome the battle with COVID-19 and a brain tumor. Litsa had previously fought stage 4 brain cancer.
Menounos said: “What I always say to my mother is, ‘We are going to get better every minute of every day, Mom. Every minute of every day we are getting better and better. ‘… This is my mantra. Yesterday, I told her: ‘You have to stay strong, you have to put up with it – you have grandchildren coming, and they might even show up …’ well, they will definitely show up next year. I was going to say about a certain time, but I’m not going to share it yet because I don’t want to – anyway! “
After playing that she would label the Christmas stockings “Diva # 1 and Diva # 2” for her children, she said her mother was excited and “waiting” with the prospect of seeing the babies.
The couple said for the first time that they were considering surrogacy for People in 2018 after Menounos had a brain tumor removed the previous year.
“Today, Kevin finally sent our paperwork to the replacement agency because it’s been on my desk for, like, two weeks,” Menounos told Entertainment Tonight in 2019. “I put it on his desk and said, ‘You can just scan this and submit? Let’s have these kids! ‘… Never know. Maybe next Christmas we will have little Marias and Kevins running around. “
Although she did not specify how many children she is expecting or when they will be born, she hinted that they will be arriving soon.
The couple married in a surprise wedding on New Year’s Eve in 2018. They said “yes” again in Greece in October of that year.
